Ruohan Wang x Nike Air Force 1 Flyleather Multi Color– CZ3990-900

Since Phil Knight and his sidekick Bill Bowerman officially created Nike almost 50 years ago, the most commonly known as the Swoosh brand has been recognized for its great capacity for innovation. Among its most remarkable technologies, we obviously find the Air cushioning system or the Flyknit mesh. In 2017, the American giant once again distinguished itself by creating a new generation leather called Flyeather. Composed of 50% recycled materials, this one is therefore more ecological but also lighter and more durable than any other leather. If we’re telling you about it today, it’s because the creative teams at Nike used it to design a new, never-before-seen version of Bruce Kilgore’s iconic Nike Air Force 1. For the occasion, the latter have teamed up with Berlin artist Ruohan Wang in order to reconcile aesthetics and technique in a colorful variation that should not leave you indifferent.

Berlin-based artist Ruohan Wang puts his creative stamp on Air Force 1.

If you are a die-hard fan of the Air Force 1 to the point of worshiping it, this new imprint shaped by Ruohan Wang is sure to find its place on your feet as well as in your sneaker collection. As long as you obviously have a soft spot for multicolored finishes, or even graphics.

The pair born from the collaboration between Nike and Ruohan Wang is indeed faithful to the universe cultivated by the latter through his paintings and illustrations. The stem of this unique AF-1 is thus covered with visual details of contemporary inspiration whose themes and colors are intended to remind us of how much humanity, energy and nature are important values, not only for the native of Beijing, but more generally for all of us. You will realize for yourself that the figure is difficult to describe. Note, however, the preponderant place occupied by red, pink and blue while the side Swoosh is revealed in a monochrome white coating, which ensures a certain balance between the design imagined by Bruce Kilgore in 1982 and the personal label affixed to it by Ruohan Wang. To conclude, note the eco-responsible dimension of the sole with touches of green on its middle part but also on the outside.
