Confirmed: Fragment x Air Jordan 3 is on its way

Fragment designer Hiroshi Fujiwaras, also known as “The Godfather of Streetwear”, has been involved in several prominent sneaker projects throughout the year, and therefore attracted a lot of attention when he teased a brand new Air Jordan 3 earlier this year. “Could a Fragment x Air Jordan 3 really be on the way?” sounded the question at the time. Now Jordan Brand has officially confirmed the collaboration, and we can now look forward to one of this year’s most talked about sneakers becoming a reality later this month.

Simple design

Fujiwara’s Air Jordan 3 UK has an immediately simple “Black / White” design, which is packed with details – from the transparent heel cover that makes room for both the Jumpman logo and the Fragment logo, to the data print on the sole and of course the small logo on the shoe’s mudguard, which can also be found on Fragment x Air Jordan 1. At the same time, the shoe seems to have a really high quality, which Jordan Brand has apparently increased its focus on in recent times.

Coming out soon

Fragment x Air Jordan 3 will be released at Nike and select retailers on September 17, but of course only in limited numbers, which means it will be really hard to get hold of. Be sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram for Release reminders, and stay updated in our Release Calendar on the latest dealer info.

Author’s opinion:

In my eyes, the Air Jordan 3 is sharpest dressed in a crisp, white leather upper and without too many fancy colors or materials – just like on the original “White Cement” and “Fire Red” versions. Therefore, it’s nice to see that Hiroshi Fujiwara has retained just that expression and is true to Air Jordan 3’s DNA, while making it his own with the cool Fragment details on the heel and on the side.
