For 2018, Jordan Brand will be bringing back the Air Jordan 18, which was designed by long-time Nike designer Tate Kuerbis back in 2003. Its design was very unique and came with a clean laceless appearance, double stacked Nike Zoom Air, and carbon fiber Comfort Control Plate. Hopefully, the 2018 Retro will come with its iconic towel.
The Air Jordan 18 was the final shoe that Michael Jordan wore during his NBA career, which ended in 2003 as a member of the Washington Wizards. Inspired by Italian dress shoes and race cars, the ‘Royal Blue’ utilizes a one-piece white leather upper, with pops of Royal Blue appearing on the inner lining, heel, midsole and the detailing on the shroud. Jumpman branding and the eyelets appear in silver, completing a colorway that gives the nod to the Wizards’ colors in 2003.
The Jordan 18 come January 2018. The original Royal colorway featuring a ‘Home’ motif thanks to premium white leather will be the first option as the sleek overlay shroud and lacing system was said to be inspired by Italian-crafted dress shoes and race cars – recurring motifs in the Jordan signature series.
